our mission partners

Doing good and sharing the good new of God's love and compassion is not something we believe any one church can do alone. Amory First has several local and global mission partners we support with our finances, volunteer service, and other resources. If you would like to get a complete listing or our mission partners or find out how you can get involved, contact us.

  • glove ministry

Sharing a cup of coffee and our story around a table is the heart of the GLOVE Ministry (God's Loving Hands Ministry). This is a new ministry that meets on our campus every Wednesday morning from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Our volunteers provide refreshments, food vouchers, prayer, and Bible study for anyone who comes seeking a little help.

  • Rice and beans ministry

Christmas 2015 we began a long-term relationship between Fred Curry and RABMIN and Amory First. In the summer of 2016, we sent our first mission team to serve with Fred in Costa Rica. RABMIN provides construction projects, food bags, vacation Bible school, and prayer support for the people of Costa Rica. We will be deploying our next mission team to Costa Rica in March of 2017. Read more about RABMIN here.

  • Amory Food pantry

The food pantry distributes food to needy residents in North Monroe County each Tuesday between 9:00 - 11:00 AM. Our volunteers help pack bags with food, deliver food to patron's cars, and restock shelves. Elementary aged children up to senior adults can serve any time.

  • Wesley foundation at icc

The Itawamba Community College Wesley Foundation is a ministry to college students that provides a safe space for recreation, worship, weekly meals, Bible study, and campus outreach. Our church is a financial supporter of this ministry. We also have volunteers who serve on their board and provide meals for college students. Lots of way for you to get involved.

  • Change amory

The Change Amory program offers financial and spiritual assistance to residents in Amory who need help with utility bills, housing, medicine, and other emergency expenses. It meets every Tuesday afternoon from 2:00 - 4:00 PM at St. Helen's Catholic Church located at 401 8th Avenue.

  • Meals on wheels

Located at 123 South Main Street, Amory, MS, 662-256-5816. Meals on Wheels delivers hot meals to the elderly and home bound in the Amory area. Opportunities exist to deliver food each week for one month out of the year. Local churches work together to make this ministry happen.
